Mi Hermanita, Jesiquita

December 8 was another Monday holiday in Colombia. There are so many holidays in Colombia that most of the people have no idea which holiday it is. On this particular Monday, I decided to spend one last day with my little sister Jesica.

She absolutely loves the movie Madagascar 2, so we piled into Orlando's little car - six of us - and headed out to the mall - La 14.

Gabriela's niece, Maira, joined us. A very full car!!!

How Great Is the Love the Father Has LAVISHED on Us!!!

Sunday, November 2, Gabriela asked me if I would be willing to share with the children. Orlando was asked to preach at a church in Palmira, so that left me!

The day before, we had an issue with one of the children who has a big problem with anger. His father is in prison because of murdering someone, and this has affected him greatly. He is not the only child at La Fundacion experiencing feelings of anger, sadness, and loneliness - which was what I felt I should speak about on Sunday.

I centered around: 1 John 3:1 - How great is the love the Father has LAVISHED on us, that we should be called children of God!

The Spanish version of the verse really seemed to take away from the word "lavished," so I demonstrated being lavished with love by pouring water into a cup until it overflowed and water was running down the sides.

I wanted to get across the idea that God has so much love for them, and if they had received Jesus as their Savior, they would have an endless supply of love from their Heavenly Father.

That is a brief description of what is going on in the pictures below. These children came forward for prayer, because they wanted more love. They were tired of being mad, sad, and lonely. You´ll also see me with a cup of water, "lavishing" them with the love from the Father.
